Literary First Annual Luncheon

  • Austin Public Library 710 West Cesar Chavez Street Austin, TX, 78701 United States (map)

Proud to call Mexican Entrepreneur Association (AEM) a member of Austin-Saltillo Sister Cities:

Join us for lunch to celebrate AEM’s partnership with Literacy First, and learn about how we are helping local Austin children from predominantly low-income Hispanic families who are struggling to read.

Fun and exciting lunch at a fabulous venue with local business and civic leaders concerned about improving early childhood literacy in low-income Austin schools.
Free valet parking included.  $125 donation per person.

WHY: No other skill changes the trajectory of child’s life more than the ability to read. You have the ability to change a child’s life by giving them the gift of reading so they may learn to read and read to learn.

To reserve your seat at the luncheon through the AEM, please contact our Community Affairs Liaison, Salvador Castañeda at sdc@ptandclaw.com no later than April 1, 2019.  For more information about the event, please contact Rachel Mallernee at rmallernee@austin.utexas.edu

For more information on the luncheon, please see here and for more information on the powerful and positive impact that Literacy First has on the local Austin Hispanic community please see here.
