Become a Member

The Education Committee was created to improve relationships among educators and students in both cities by organizing educational and cultural exchanges for students and educators enrolled primarily with Austin ISD’s International High School and Universidad de Carolina. Special activities include the Annual Sister Cities International’s global Young Authors and Artists Showcase competition (https://sistercities.org/yaas); Backpack drives for poor students in Saltillo; as well as Workshops, and webinars. This Committee involves individuals and organizations in both cities in the effort to support the Committee’s activities. All activities are reported to the Austin-Saltillo Sister Cities Association. Involving residents of both cities in the Committee’s events, activities, and programs enriches lives and strengthens the relationship between both cities.
